Isadora Pacheco (14) is an award-winning skater born in Florianópolis. She has been skateboarding since she was 5 years old and began competing professionally at age 11 in the Vans Combi Pool Classic in California — one of the most prestigious competitions for skateboarders.
Recently, Isadora submitted her Wix website to a contest held by the company — and won!
So Wix decided to make a video featuring her and her biggest idol: soccer player Diego Ribas, a midfielder for Flamengo. Isadora had no idea she was about to meet Diego, and she was thrilled and surprised when she was told she’d be in a video with the player. Our clients at Wix wanted to make sure it stayed a surprise until the very last minute!
Our team at Brazil Production Services coordinated the entire shoot where the two stars met. We hired an all-Brazilian crew and handled every arrangement for the director and Israeli clients who flew in to film in Rio de Janeiro. We secured permission from Clube de Regatas do Flamengo’s headquarters to film inside the club and rented all the equipment needed to make the video.
Wix wanted to capture footage of Isadora and Diego playing a new sport that blends soccer and skateboarding — Skatebol. The video shows Diego and Isadora playing Skatebol together: while she shows off her skateboarding skills, he challenges her with soccer ball tricks.
BPS produced ramps and obstacles, built inside Flamengo’s headquarters just for the shoot. They wanted ramps — in the team’s colors — where Isadora could perform skate tricks while Diego played around with the ball.
Both days of filming were very successful. A Wix representative gave us great feedback once we wrapped filming:
“From the very beginning, talking with the BPS producers, I felt like we were in good hands, and once we arrived in Rio and met everyone, we felt even more confident. Everyone got along great from the start. The shoot was a lot of fun and tere was great energy. I think both Diego and Isadora felt the same way and were really excited about the shoot. I hope we get more chances to work together in the future.”
